ABOUT BUDDY BALL

The Bambino Buddy Ball Division was established by Base Ruth Baseball as a program for children with special needs.  It provides children with the opportunity to enjoy and participate in sports, particularly the social structure and fun of playing baseball.  Today, more than 30,000 players participate in a Buddy Ball type league nationwide. The most fundamental goal of Buddy Ball is to give everyone a chance to play.

Buddy Ball enables children  to participate in a structured athletic program regardless of disability.  Buddy Ball features “buddies” who help by assisting the players when needed.
